Rey has been a good source of stability for Sharon, Chelsea, and others in Genoa City on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, but his portrayer, Jordi Vilasuso, recently helped out a fan in real life! The actor, like many other celebrities, participates in the Cameo website where fans can pay for personalized video shoutouts, and one of his recent Cameos actually saved a relationship!

“I just wanted you to know that your amazing Cameo video helped me reconnect with my fiancée,” a fan wrote in a review on the site. We talked, we worked things out, and we got married. Yeah, you read that right, dude. She’s now my wife. Would love you send you a video of the wedding. You opened the door, man. Can’t ever thank you enough. a perfect, life-changing message.”

While Vilasuso didn’t reveal what that particular Cameo message said (they are personal and private after all!), he was inspired to do a new intro video after that particular response. “Here it is, my official intro video to the Cameo” he declared. “I just read someone’s review and was motivated to put this out there so thank you for that. I’m here for ya. Whatever you want…

Almost whatever you want,” he added with a sly grin. “You know what I’m talking about! Holidays, birthdays, newborn babies, fiancée on the outs? Valentines is coming! Let me know!”

Vilasuso has been a daytime fan-favorite ever since he broke out as Tony Santos on GUIDING LIGHT back in 2000, and the love only increased as he continued playing Griffin Castillo on ALL MY CHILDREN and Dario Hernandez on DAYS OF OUR LIVES before joining the cast of Y&R. So if you’ve ever wanted to send someone a personalized video message from the soap star — or get one for yourself! — now is your chance! And who knows, he just might change your life!
