Actor Jordi Vilasuso (Rey, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS) is helping his wife, Kaitlin, with the new charity that she has established: The Code Red Foundation. He shared a video on Instagram where they’re joined by Kaitlin’s younger sister, Bailee Madison, to announce the organization and how people can support it by “drawing the line with wine.”
“The Code Red Foundation mission is to keep our most precious people safe in our schools and this launch could only be made possible through our friends Million Dollar Wine Club and Wally’s Restaurant,” explained Vilasuso, who also starred as Tony on GUIDING LIGHT, Griffin on ALL MY CHILDREN, and Dario on DAYS OF OUR LIVES. “One hundred percent of the proceeds from this truly delicious, high-end vino benefits the foundation and our goal to empower our generation and the next in order to save lives and provide them with a brighter future.”
Wally’s is offering a selection of various wines for purchase with proceeds going to The Code Red Foundation, the idea of which was born back in 2018 after the horrific school shooting in Parkland, FL. Kaitlin’s brother, Conor Riley, was directing the upcoming documentary Code Red: Youth of the Nation, and she was inspired to create this foundation in the hopes of saving lives. “If we save just one life, it will have all been worth it,” she wrote in her founder’s statement on the organization’s website.
