Please join us in congratulating THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS child star Judah Mackey (Connor), who is now a black belt! “I became a black belt over the weekend!” he exclaimed on Instagram. “I started at age four and have grown stronger physically and mentally on this journey and learned so much. I’m thankful for my awesome instructors, teammates, and family for always pushing me to do my best!”
Mackey was one of the eight members who were promoted to black belt and second-degree black belt this weekend. Over the past seven years, the talented young performer has dedicated himself to studying martial arts at KMA Black Belt Champions in California. And we just love the photo he shared of little four-year-old him rushing out into the middle of the dojo to start his training. He’s come so far!
Mackey joined the cast of Y&R back in August 2019 as Connor Newman and continues to play Adam and Chelsea’s son to this day. And he’s a busy young man, fitting in his work on the CBS soap along with his martial arts training, schoolwork, and his roles on THE MORNING SHOW and the animated series STILLWATER and GEN: LOCK on top of everything else!
While it’s unlikely that Y&R will take advantage of Mackey’s martial arts skills on the show, maybe one day they’ll land him a role in a big superhero movie or television series. Clearly, the sky is the limit for this kid!
