Justin Hartley Announces His New Holiday Movie!

Tags:

Fans of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS alum Justin Hartley (ex-Adam) who are missing the actor now that his primetime series, THIS IS US, has come to an end can look forward to seeing the talented actor in a brand new role this Thanksgiving! He will be starring as Jacob Churcher in the new Netflix movie, The Noel Diary!

“Excited to share with you all that my new film, The Noel Diary, will be coming to Netflix this Thanksgiving Day!” Hartley enthused on Instagram. “Directed by Charles Shyer and co-starring Barrett Doss. Can’t wait for you all to see this special film.” And as Doss declared on her own Insta: “Holidays are coming early this year!”

Based on the bestseller by Richard Paul Evans, The Noel Diary centers around Hartley’s character of Jacob, a man who returns home on Christmas to settle his estranged mother’s estate. As he digs through the mountains of possessions that his mother had hoarded over the years, he uncovers the diary of a woman named Noel who he doesn’t recall but lived with his family while pregnant. He then encounters Doss’ character of Rachel and the pair find that their lives are connected. The cast also includes Bonnie Bedelia and James Remar.

Hartley made his daytime debut playing Fox Crane on the NBC sudser PASSIONS from 2002-06, then hit primetime with roles on series like EMILY OWENS, M.D., REVENGE, and MISTRESSES. In 2014, he returned to soaps to play a recast of Adam Newman on Y&R, then left in 2016 as he’d been cast on THIS IS US.

The Noel Diary will be premiering on Netflix on Thursday, Sept. 24, so you won’t have too much longer to wait to enjoy this heartwarming holiday film. No word yet, though, on whether or not it will make you cry as much as the average episode of THIS IS US!
