Kelsey Wang Shares an Update on Her Status at Y&R

It’s been months since viewers have seen Allie on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, so Kelsey Wang has been using social media to stay in touch with her fans. And every time she posts on Instagram, there are always some comments wondering when she’ll be back on the soap.

On Aug. 30, the actress shared some photos of her and her beau enjoying a week’s vacation in the Scottish highlands including beautiful landscapes, a quaint cottage, and watching Harry Potter. And when a fan commented on her photos and also asked if she would be back on Y&R as Allie anytime soon, Wang responded: “Good question, Chris! Unfortunately, that is based on story and The Powers That Be! Very much love the Y&R cast and crew.”

Wang actually made her daytime debut as Daisy on ABC sudser GENERAL HOSPITAL back in 2018, but joined the cast of Y&R as Allie Nguyen in March 2022. The character was new, but immersed in the soap’s history as her father was Keemo Abbott, making her a part of the Abbott family.

Allie’s initial storyline saw her setting into life in Genoa City and getting to know her new family while starting a relationship with Noah Newman. However, the last time that Wang was seen on screen was in the April 18 episode where Allie offered Kyle a shoulder to lean on as he dealt with his marriage to Summer splintering as Diane was being accused of murdering Phyllis.

In May, it was mentioned that Allie had gone to Europe with Noah and as he looked into opening a Glam Club in London, she was working at the Jabot lab in Paris. Both Wang and co-star Rory Gibson (Noah) attended the Aug. 5 Y&R Fan Club Luncheon to meet and greet the fans, so hopefully, they’ll both be back on screen again soon!
