Get ready to see a whole other side of Lauralee Bell (Cricket, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS) when she stars in the first two installments of Lifetime’s new V.C. Andrews movie series! The Daytime Emmy Award nominee has been cast as Daphne Dumas in Ruby and Pearl in the Mist, the first movies in the upcoming Landry Series. “I read the scripts and I was hooked,” Bell declared. “This is such a wonderful introduction for those who haven’t already read the books and I am looking forward to portraying such a manipulative character.”
Bell joins Rachelle Banno and Karina Banno in the cast playing wicked stepmother to twins Ruby and Gisselle. Daphne is none-too-pleased when her husband’s daughter, Ruby, arrives in the home and disrupts her perfect family picture.
This isn’t Bell’s first Lifetime movie, with her recent turns in 2019’s Nightmare Tenant and 2018’s Mistress Hunter still fresh in fans’ minds. However, as filming on Ruby is only just getting underway, there are still no details from the network on when these movies will air.
