Leigh-Ann Rose and Ptosha Storey Join the Cast of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS
Two new faces will be arriving in Genoa City this Christmas as Leigh-Ann Rose and Ptosha Storey join the cast of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS as Imani and Naya Benedict beginning with the episode airing on Thursday, Dec. 24! “Momma!” Storey enthused on Instagram. “I’m going to be on your favorite soap! Yasss! So Grateful!”
Rose will be playing Imani Benedict and her past credits include roles on the OWN series LOVE THY NEIGHBOR, TV Land’s YOUNGER, and the films Baking Christmas, Suburban Swingers Club, and The Finest.
Storey, who is playing Naya Benedict, is probably best known for her role as Chyna on the FOX primetime sudser EMPIRE. She also had roles in Tyler Perry’s THE OVAL on BET and IF LOVING YOU IS WRONG on OWN. Storey can also be seen in films like The Step Daddy and Tyler Perry’s Acrimony.
When announcing the casting, Y&R only mentioned that these two roles are recurring. The soap hasn’t shared any details regarding who these two women are or how they’re going to fit into Genoa City. But their first airdate isn’t that far off so you won’t have long to wait to find out what kind of drama they’re going to be stirring up! Stay tuned!
