Melissa Claire Egan Is Back at THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS!
Get ready for Chelsea’s return to Genoa City because Melissa Claire Egan is back at THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS! The new mom returned to the CBS studio on Oct. 28 and shared a photo of the sign she found taped to her dressing room door that dropped the “A” from the Mamma Mia movie logo so that it read “Mama Missy” with “welcome back!” written below it.
“On my dressing room door this morning,” she tweeted. “I love my work fam so much.” She added a crying face emoji and a heart to further express her feelings about her emotional return.
Egan shared her last day at the studio on Aug. 11 as she snapped a selfie showing off her baby bump as she prepared to start her maternity leave. Just over a week later, on Aug. 21, Egan and husband Matt Katrosar welcomed their baby boy Caden Robert Katrosar into the world.
As she prepared to come back to work, Egan treated herself to a little post-pregnancy makeover and continued sharing adorable photos of her precious little boy. And when she returned to the studio, the actress clearly jumped back in with both feet! On Nov. 4, she shared a pic of her script showing just how many pages of dialogue she had to learn. “Just. Tomorrow,” she captioned the snap. (With the actual dialogue on the top page covered up to avoid spoilers!)
A lot has happened in Genoa City since Chelsea left. She may have checked in with Adam a few times (in scenes Egan taped shortly before her maternity leave) but she’ll have plenty to catch up on. Chelsea and Adam will obviously argue about what’s best for their son, Connor, but how will she react to his budding relationship with Sally Spectra?
Chloe has been establishing herself at Newman Media with the hopes of creating a space for Chelsea to return to when she gets home, but will Chelsea really want to go to work at Adam’s company given their history and current animosity? And has this time away helped her mental state at all or is she still hell-bent on revenge against Adam?
