Y&R Alum Michael Graziadei Is Having Twins!
A pregnancy announcement with a plot twist! THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS alum Michael Graziadei (ex-Daniel) took to Instagram on March 21 to share some very exciting news: He and his lady love, Lauren, are the latest couple adding to the pandemic baby boom! But not only are the couple about to become parents for the first time, but they are about to go from a family of two to four!
The hilarious pregnancy announcement shows Graziadei in the forefront holding a framed letter board declaring, “We’re pregnant!” while he points his thumb behind him to poor Lauren, hunched over the toilet dealing with one of the… well, less favorable experiences associated with pregnancy. And since this baby news was made with a two-part photo gallery, swiping over to the second slide is where things got really interesting!
In the second pic, it’s the Y&R grad hunched over the toilet, while a smiling Lauren holds up the same framed letter board that her beau had in hand in the first photo. But this time, the message on the sign declares “It’s twins!!!” In the caption accompanying the photo, the actor wrote, “Well played, quarantine… well played.”
The parents-to-be were quickly met with many well wishes from fans, as well as some of Graziadei’s former Y&R colleagues, like mom of two Adrienne Frantz (ex-Amber), who wrote that parenthood “is such an amazing life changing for the better experience! I know you will be wonderful parents! Can’t wait to meet your little ones someday!”
Y&R star Michelle Stafford — whose alter ego, Phyllis, is the mom of Graziadei’s Daniel — had only seen the first photo when she wrote that she was “so happy” for the couple. Then, after swiping through and seeing the second photo, Stafford added another hilarious note. “I wrote one comment before I saw the second one!! Good God!” she said. And Graziadei’s reply was just as funny: “Yeah… we’re in trouble.”
