Michelle Stafford Is Taking a Vacation From Social Media

Social media has become such a part of our daily lives that it’s hard to imagine going without it. But soap star Michelle Stafford (Phyllis, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS; ex-Nina, GENERAL HOSPITAL) has decided to do just that! “I’m trying this experiment,” she shared on Instagram. “I am going to not watch the news and not be on social media for two weeks. I’m going to see if anything changes in my life (for the better).

“It’s been really challenging for all of us,” Stafford continued. “I don’t think reading about or seeing or listening to people fight or degrade each other on TV or social media is really beneficial to my life or my creative life. In two weeks, I’ll actually tell you how it goes.”

Her Y&R co-star Christel Khalil (Lily) recently stepped away from social media and found it refreshing, so we look forward to hearing how her experiment goes. And, of course, we also look forward to hearing about all the fun family stuff we missed while Stafford was incommunicado! 

“What I will be doing is helping my kids start their new year in school,” she reported. “And what I will be doing is working on this new project that I’ll tell you all about when I come back. And what I will be doing is sending you all love… just not on social media. It’s a fun experiment. You are all extraordinary. See you in a couple weeks!”
