Remembering Kristoff St. John on His Birthday
July 15 is the birthday of the late Kristoff St. John, who was beloved by everyone who knew him, whether at THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS where he played Neil Winters for decades or from anywhere. And on the day when he would have celebrated his birth, many of his co-stars shared some heartfelt words about how much they miss their beloved friend. “Not a day goes by that we don’t miss you!” declared Daniel Goddard (ex-Cane). “Happy Birthday, my brother!”
Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) shared a photo of them standing cheek to cheek at the Daytime Emmy Awards and wrote: “The world was a little more beautiful, a little more joyful, and way less serious with you in it. I celebrate the day of your birth today. How lucky for me and the rest of us that you were born.”
“Happy Birthday, Kristoff,” shared his on-screen daughter, Christel Khalil (Lily). “I would give anything to make fun of you on your birthday and see your beautiful smile again. I love you.”
And Michele Val Jean, who is currently on the writing staff at Y&R’s sister soap, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, expressed her feelings at losing such a remarkable individual. “Happy Birthday, my friend,” she wrote. “I’ll always love, miss you, and wish you were still here. That can’t be so, so I hope you’ve found peace. See you when I get there.”
