Sean Carrigan Brings Stitch Back to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS!

If there’s one thing that THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ Abby wants just about more than anything, it’s for her hubby, Chance, to return from that top-secret mission that’s kept him out of town for months now. Well, Abby will have a man come back into her life very, very soon — but it will be her ex-husband, Dr. Ben “Stitch” Rayburn who returns! According to TV Insider, Stitch’s portrayer, Sean Carrigan, will appear on the Friday, June 25, episode of Y&R.

“It’s official,” Carrigan confirmed on social media, reposting the TV Insider news in an Instagram Story. His scene partner, Melissa Ordway (Abby), was certainly excited for the on-screen reunion. “Yeah, he is!” she exclaimed in an Instagram Story of her own. “Been keeping this a secret! Excited to finally share!”

Carrigan made his Y&R debut in 2013 as an old Army buddy of Dylan’s. After dabbling in romances with Ashley and Victoria, Stitch wed Abby in 2015. Unfortunately, their marriage was cut short after she suffered a miscarriage at the hands of Stitch’s troubled son, Max. The couple grew apart as Stitch dealt with his son, and it was discovered that a brain tumor was causing Max’s disturbing behavior. But by the time that Stitch realized he wanted to work things out with Abby and have a family, she wanted a divorce. Carrigan was last seen in 2017 when Stitch helped Devon deal with his inuries following a car crash.

It’s not clear whether Carrigan’s return will be a brief visit or if he’ll stick around for a longer stint. Might Stitch be returning to Genoa City to rekindle an old flame? That could prove to be a sticky situation considering that Abby and Chance are expecting a baby via surrogate Mariah! Stay tuned to see what happens next!
