THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS Celebrates Jerry Douglas With a Special Episode

Tags:

Mark your calendars now for a show you will definitely not want to miss! As part of its ongoing 50th-anniversary celebrations, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS will be airing a very special episode centered around the beloved character of John Abbott and his portrayer, the late Jerry Douglas, scheduled to air on Thursday, June 22.

Douglas took over the role of John Abbott in 1982 and continued to play the beloved Abbott patriarch until the character’s demise in 2006. However, Douglas was so popular that he continued to return for the occasional visit from beyond to offer comfort and or advice to his family in the years that followed. Sadly, Douglas passed away on November 9, 2021, just three days before his 89th birthday.

So make sure you mark Thursday, June 22, on your calendar and be sure to set your DVRs so you don’t miss this very special episode of Y&R!
