THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS Stars Share Their Favorite Fan Memories!
The (virtual) party hasn’t stopped for THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS! As the soap continues to celebrate its 12,000th episode, some of the show’s stars were asked to describe their most memorable fan encounter over the years.
In a group of videos posted to Y&R’s social media pages, Kate Linder (Esther), Donny Boaz (Chance), Brytni Sarpy (Elena), Sean Dominic (Nate), Alyvia Alyn Lind (Faith) and Sasha Calle (Lola) shared which encounters with fans have meant the most to them. We’ve gathered all the videos together for you, so keep on reading to find out who was approached in the meat aisle at the grocery store, who was offered money to deny they were on the soap, and which actor felt overwhelmed by their first fan encounter!
Kate Linder (Esther)
Linder recalled that during her days working as a flight attendant, she had a rather unusual run-in with one particular couple. “As the passengers were boarding, this woman said to me, “oh my gosh! You’re Esther on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS,’” she said. “I was just about to respond when her husband pulled me aside and he said, ‘I’ll pay you $50 if you say it’s not you.’”

Donny Boaz (Chance)
Boaz shared that a chat with a longtime viewer from Dallas left a lasting impression on him. “Sadly, her husband had passed away and a few weeks after, her family reached out to me and said that she was a big fan and that it would lift her spirits if she got to meet me.”

Brytni Sarpy
For Sarpy, attending her first Y&R Fan Event in 2019 holds a special place in her heart. “It was my first year here, and I was overwhelmed in a good way with all of the amazing fan energy,” she confessed.

Sean Dominic (Nate)
A grocery store encounter ranks as Dominic’s favorite fan memory. “I’m in the meat section and I get tapped on my shoulder. And this lovely lady says, ‘Hey. Are you Dr. Nate Hastings from THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS?’” the actor recalled. “And she whispered it.”

Alyvia Alyn Lind (Faith)
For Lind, getting a gift of bracelets from a viewer was a special day, and one that she says is among her most memorable fan moments. “They are not only the cutest, but they were given to me by the best fan,” she confessed. “And they told me as long as I have them around me or near me, I would have good luck.”

Calle was on a date at a restaurant when one of her most memorable fan moments occurred. “A fan was like ‘Sasha, can I have a picture with you?’ And the fan gave the phone to my date, and my date was taking a photo of me and the fan,” she said with a grin.
