Trevor St. John Cast on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS!

Tags:

A familiar face is coming to Genoa City! Well, familiar to ABC Daytime fans, anyway! Trevor St. John is joining the cast of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS in a brand-new mystery role!

Deadline broke the news and revealed that the actor will begin taping in August and will first appear on screen later in the fall. However, details about what character he’ll be playing when he does begin airing remain tightly under wraps. So let the speculation begin!

St. John is best known to soap fans for playing the roles of Walker Laurence, Todd Manning, and Victor Lord, Jr. on ABC sudser ONE LIFE TO LIVE. When the actor first joined the cast of OLTL in May 2003, it was as a recast of the character Todd Manning, taking over for Roger Howarth. And in the fall of 2003, he also played look-alike villain Walker “Flynn” Laurence. But after living in Llanview for almost a decade, it was revealed that St. John’s character wasn’t Todd with plastic surgery, but really his brother, Victor Lord, Jr.! (It’s all a bit complicated, really!)

After leaving daytime, St. John could be seen in primetime series like THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, THE MENTALIST, CONTAINMENT, THE FOSTERS, and ROSWELL, NEW MEXICO. The talented performer also moved behind the camera, writing and directing The Art of Getting Over It and A Good Enough Day.

Y&R fans will just have to wait a bit longer to see St. John make his debut in Genoa City, so there’s still plenty of time to speculate as to who he might be playing and what storylines he might be involved in. Someone from Diane’s past in Los Angeles who has the dirt Nikki, Phyllis, and Ashley have been looking for, perhaps? Or maybe he’s a relative of Ashland Locke looking to find out how the villain really died? Stay tuned to find out, and obviously keep checking back here at SoapsInDepth.com for updates because as soon as we know more, we’ll let you know!
