Tricia Cast Returns to Y&R!
A lot of familiar faces have been coming back to Genoa City this year and there’s another one coming up very soon — Tricia Cast is returning to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS as Nina again! “This is a good surprise,” Lauralee Bell (Christine) shared on Instagram with a photo of them together. “Tricia’s back!” She also added “#ninasback” just to make it clear!
The character of Nina Webster first appeared on Y&R back in June 1986 and has always been played by Cast. She even won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in 1992. Although the talented performer technically exited the soap back in 2001, she continued to make recurring appearances in the years that followed. Her most recent visit was back in March 2023 as part of Y&R’s 50th anniversary celebration.
Over on her own Instagram, Cast shared the same photo of her and Bell, captioning it: “Yay! So good to be here with my friend today!” And then her next post included a selfie she took with Bell and Tracey Bregman (Lauren) out on the town having drinks. “Fun evening after work with my girls,” Cast declared.
With Michael Damian back as Danny Romalotti for an “extended stay,” it’s kind of like old home week. Might Nina find herself getting wrapped up in a new storyline with Danny, Christine, Lauren, and maybe even Phyllis? Or might Nina have something to say about her son Chance’s growing closeness with Summer?
