Will Chelsea Lose Adam to Sharon on Y&R? — Melissa Claire Egan Speaks Out (EXCLUSIVE)

Tags:

As Adam remembers the childhood trauma he has repressed for so long on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, it’s drawing him closer to Sharon… and Chelsea is not happy about that! “They were kind of in a great place,” Melissa Claire Egan told Soaps In Depth of Chelsea and Adam’s relationship. “And then this secret was revealed. He’s not in a great place emotionally or mentally, and she’s just trying to be a supportive wife.”

The timing could have been worse, though, as Chelsea and Adam aren’t always in a great place! “They are not!” the actress laughed. “They go back and forth. They have a roller coaster romance. They were in a great place, but this definitely throws him for a loop.”

Worse still, Adam has turned to Sharon to help him recover the memories of A.J. Montalvo’s murder and deal with the emotional fallout and that sparks all kinds of feelings Chelsea had hoped were in the past. “He goes to see Sharon for therapy and Chelsea’s like, ‘Uh uh. Anybody else. Not your ex-wife,’” Egan explained. “She’s very threatened by that.”

Chelsea and Adam have their own complicated history, as do Adam and Sharon. Not to mention Sharon and Nick as well as Nick and Chelsea. So there are a lot of angles that Y&R can explore as the storyline progresses. “That kind of indicates the whole Chadam/Shadam triangle that has been going on for nine years almost,” Egan mused. “As long as I’ve been on the show. So it’s kind of great what you can really sink your teeth into on a soap if it gets that far.”

Stay tuned to see just how close Adam and Sharon get and how Chelsea deals with that, because she’s not one to give up without a fight!
