Y&R Alum Jason Canela and Wife Janaina Welcome a Beautiful Baby Girl!

Please join us in congratulating THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS alum Jason Canela (ex-Arturo) on the birth of his first child with his wife, Janaina! Jovie Rosa Canela was born on Feb. 10 at 2:56 p.m. and weighed in at 7 pounds, 2 ounces.

“Words cannot describe this feeling,” Canela expressed on Instagram, sharing a photo of himself holding his newborn baby girl. “Thank you, Janaina, for being so divinely strong. Watching you give birth to our Jovie Rose just the way we envisioned was nothing short of a miraculous blessing.

“Thank you to all of our friends and family that have showered us with so much love these last nine months,” he continued. “I can’t wait to just be there for every single moment of my baby girl’s life. Thank you, God, for it all!”

The parents had hoped for unmedicated natural childbirth, and that’s exactly what they were able to achieve. “Words cannot describe this feeling” Janaina expressed of their little miracle. “We fell in love with her the moment we knew she was inside me and although this sounds cliche, our love has only multiplied with every single second that passes since 2:56 p.m. on that day.

“To all the super mommas out there, I just want to say, we got this!” the proud mom added. “Jason and I are looking forward to it all as we promise to be there every step of the way for our precious baby girl. Thank you to all of our friends and family that have been praying for us and sending such positive vibes throughout these last nine months.”

Janaina also shared a carousel of photos of mommy and daddy and some other family welcoming the new addition as well a quick video clip of Jovie on her own Instagram that are just darling. All our best to the happy family and we can’t wait to see more beautiful photos of this baby girl as she grows up!
