Y&R Alum Max Page Having Another Heart Surgery

Tags:

Please join us in sending some good luck and get well wishes to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS alum Max Page (ex-Reed). The teenager — who played Victoria and J.T.’s son as a young boy on and off from 2009-’15 — was slated to undergo heart surgery today, Dec. 22. “Need some extra prayers for Max,” his mom, Jennifer, wrote on Instagram. “Time for another surgery to replace his pacemaker.”

Born with a congenital heart defect, Page has undergone numerous procedures as a result of the medical condition in his 16 years. He had one of his pulmonary valves replaced in Feb. 2018 in an operation that marked his 13th surgery. Hoping to make a difference in the lives of other ill children, Page has become an advocate for children’s health issues over the years, like speaking before Congress and at cardiology conventions. “I want the senators to put a face to children’s health care,” Max said in 2017 after speaking in Washington, D.C. “I tell them my story, what surgeries I have had, and how much I needed my doctors now and in the future.”

In addition to his role on Y&R, Page is fondly remembered as being the Mini Darth Vader in Volkswagen’s 2013 Super Bowl television commercial. Now a high school junior, the child actor continued to perform as recently as last year, when he starred in the thriller Between The Darkness.

As Page faced his latest surgery, his mom shared that he was in good spirits. “In true Max fashion, focusing forward and leaning on love,” she wrote. “Max, I love being your mom.”

We hope that all goes well for Page in this latest surgery, and that he has a speedy recovery!
