THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS Stars Play Santa Claus For a Good Cause!

Several stars from THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS secured their spots on the “Nice List” when they acted as Santa’s helpers by donating toys for at-risk children. Y&R newcomer Conner Floyd (Chance) joined soap vets Eric Braeden (Victor), Lauralee Bell (Christine), Sean Dominic (Nate), Christian LeBlanc (Michael), Bryton James (Devon), Mishael Morgan (Amanda), and Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) for a shopping spree at a Los Angeles Big Lots store. “We all got together and bought a lot of toys for kids,” Braeden wrote of the group trip on Instagram, adding on Twitter that he hoped the presents will “bring a big smile to them!”

LeBlanc, meanwhile, joked about how the shopping spree unexpectedly led him to a new gig. “I loved my job as check-out assistant at Big Lots!” he cracked on Instagram. “Susan was a great boss and I played with all the toys while she wasn’t looking!”

After practically cleaning out the toy section at Big Lots, the group of actors took the books, dolls, stuffed animals, and everything else they purchased to the Salvation Army center in Inglewood, CA. In conjunction with Inglewood’s NAACP chapter, the toys will be distributed to local families in need. “What a Christmas blessing!” declared the Salvation Army California South division on its Instagram page. “This morning, the cast of Y&R partnered up with NAACP Inglewood and the National Action Network to donate $6,000 worth of toys to our Inglewood Citadel. Thank you to all of the cast members and community leaders who gave their time to give back to families in our neighborhood!”

All of the actors involved in the shopping spree — which Bell and Braeden shared was organized by Stafford — documented their time playing Santa’s elves on social media, from their takeover of Big Lots to personally delivering the toys. “Just a few of us from Y&R trying to make sure a few kids have a good Christmas,” Dominic wrote of the outing. “Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays out there. And remember, ‘Do unto others and you would have them do unto you.’”

Too humble to take credit for arranging the outing, Stafford shared on Twitter a video from the Salvation Army drop-off, where leaders from charity thanked the soap stars for taking time out of their busy lives for such a worthy cause. “So honored to be a part of Y&R and this cast!” Stafford wrote. “Again, the cast and crew of Y&R came together to help some kids who would have had nothing this Christmas with the NAACP and National Action Network.”

According to Bell, Braeden’s appearance at the Salvation Army center had a few members star-struck! “Incredible day yesterday shopping for toys in hopes to brighten some Christmases with the help of NAACP Inglewood and Salvation Army,” she wrote on Instagram. “Thank you, Michelle, for this experience! Loved meeting inspirational people who make such a difference in the community. They were especially happy to see Eric!”

Below, you can watch some highlights from the shopping spree, which LeBlanc dubbed “Michelle’s Excellent Adventure.”
