Young star Alyvia Alyn Lind (ex-Faith, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS) just keeps rising higher and higher — the talented actress has just joined the cast of the upcoming Disney+ series THE SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES! “Can’t wait for you guys to meet Calliope!” she declared on Instagram when Deadline broke the news.
THE SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES is a new live-action television series based on the popular series of books by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black. It centers on a family who moves to Michigan and into their ancestral home, The Spiderwick Estate, only to find themselves pulled into an alternate world. Lind’s character of Calliope appears as a normal girl but she is actually a Fetch, which is a portent of death. She has taken on this form in order to stay close to the evil ogre played by Christian Slater and help him find Spiderwick’s Field Guide.
Lind is best known to soap fans for her role as Faith Newman on Y&R, which she played from 2011-13 and then again from 2014-21. But during those years, the young actress also moonlighted in numerous primetime series including REVENGE, TRANSPARENT, MASTERS OF SEX, FUTURE MAN, and DAYBREAK. Currently, she stars as Lexy Cross in the SyFy series CHUCKY, now in its second season. Viewers might also have seen her playing young Dolly Parton in Coat of Many Colors and its sequel, Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love, or on the big screen in Overboard or Masquerade.
As THE SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES is still currently in production, there’s no release date aside from 2023 available at this time. So keep checking back here at SoapsInDepth.com and we’ll let you know as soon as it has a premiere date so you can stream it!
