Zach Tinker Returns to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS!

As promised during the 2023 preview, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS is going to be honoring Tracey E. Bregman’s 40th anniversary playing Lauren Fenmore with a very special episode, and now some more details have emerged regarding the celebration.
First, the episode will air on Wednesday, Jan. 25. And helping toast Lauren’s four decades in Genoa City will be her son, Fenmore Baldwin because Zach Tinker is returning to Y&R for that special show!
TInker took over the role of Fen from previous portrayer Max Ehrich in December 2018, and while he was only on until February 2019, he has frequently returned to the soap for visits occasionally. He also earned a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Younger Actor in 2019.
Beginning in March 2022, Tinker took over the role of Sonny Kiriakis on DAYS OF OUR LIVES and has been portraying that character ever since. And while other actors like Eileen Davidson (Ashley, Y&R; ex-Kristen, DAYS) have juggled both soaps at the same time, this was just one episode of Y&R so it’s not a problem.

Tinker has also made appearances in primetime series like NCIS: LOS ANGELES, WHY WOMEN KILL, and BIG SKY. His most recent gig was in the Jan. 5 episode of CSI: VEGAS. He also voiced and did motion capture for the character of Jacob in the 2022 horror videogame The Quarry.
Fen’s last visit was back in the holidays in 2019, where he admitted to his parents that he had fallen off the wagon and gone back to doing drugs, but had gotten help and moved into a halfway house. When given the opportunity to go on tour, the musician opted instead to move to Nashville to get his life back on track.
So make sure you tune in to this very special episode of Y&R celebrating 40 years of Lauren Fenmore, and we’ll get a chance to see how Fen is doing now!
