Off and on, AMC's diabolical David was as tied to Susan Lucci's Erica as she as to... well, that chair.
-
Vincent Irizzary
Dr. David Hayward (1999-2003, 2005-’15)
The veteran soap-hopper, recently recurring as THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL’s Dr. Armstrong, currently splits his time pursuing two of his many passions while living in Los Angeles. “I’m selling real estate right now,” he shared, adding, “I’m also selling wine with an international distribution company.” Having become a second-level sommelier, Irizarry knows his stuff and says that he’s successfully representing about 700 wines. Someday he might even be able to combine his newfound knowledge with his experience in the world of entertainment. “I’ve been talking to some people about trying to do a show about wines from around the world,” he said, “because now I’m meeting a lot of winemakers from all over.”

AMC's Creed hoped to use Julie Chandler to exact revenge on her mother, Elizabeth.
-
James Horan
Creed Kelly (1987)
Although it’s hard not to still get chills upon bumping into the actor who so convincingly played Nico Kelly’s creepy uncle in Pine Valley, five minutes in his presence leaves you totally charmed. Between being a family man and doing video-game voice work and on-camera commercials, Horan said, “I’m busier than I’ve ever been!” Ironically, he now spends a lot of time making people laugh. “I was such a bad guy for so long that most people didn’t trust me to be funny back in the day,” reflected the daytime vet, who also appeared on ANOTHER WORLD (as Denny Hobson) and LOVING (as Clay Alden). “I’ve had my fill of [playing] bad guys, but I could still do it for a bit and have a good time."

This was not everyday attire for AMC's Emily Ann, or for that matter, Trent Bushey's David Rampal.
-
Liz Vassey
Emily Ann Sago Martin (1988-’92)
Although seen on screen as recently as last year playing Dr. Gillian Hunt in YouTube’s RILEY PARRA, Vassey said that she prefers to work on the other side of the camera now. “They let me write an episode of CSI when I was doing that [show], and I fell in love,” she revealed. “Since then, I’ve sold five pilots and one movie of the week. I want to run a show, not be on it.” Having also directed The Human Race, a documentary about runners over the age of 50, Vassey got inspired to pick up her own pace: She also “trained for a marathon!”

Tasia Valenza
Dottie Thornton Martin (1982-’86)
While it seems like just yesterday that AMC’s Dottie was trying to trap Tad The Cad into marriage, the length of portrayer Tasia Valenza’s successful second career reminds us otherwise. Well-known as the voice of Poison Ivy in the Batman: Arkham video games and Shaak Ti on STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS — amongst two decades’ worth of other characters — she now shares her skills with others. “I’m a motivational coach/speaker,” she said. “And I’ve created a meditation app called Haven.” By visiting tasiavelenza.com, you can check out samples of her work. “And I’m a mother of three,” she added, “married to the love of my life and a soccer mom!”

Paige Rowland
Kit Fisher (1998-’99)
Paige Rowland, who played Jackson Montgomery’s back-from-the-dead sister, has been happily hitched to game-show producer and host Michael Dietz (Joe, PORT CHARLES) since 2002. “I’m writing projects and trying to get them sold,” revealed the busy beauty. “We also have a film company.” However, the joint effort that the couple is most proud of is raising their 17-year-old daughter, Madison. “I act a little here and there,” Rowland revealed, “but Madison does keep us extremely busy!” The performer was seen earlier this year opposite Adrienne Frantz (ex-Amber, B&B) in the TV thriller Maternal Instinct.

William Christian
Derek Frye (1990-’05)
Having traveled a lot during his 15-year run on AMC, William Christian was happy to settle in Los Angeles with his wife, Gail, upon the birth of their first child. “Now we have two lovely boys who act and are very talented,” said the soap alum, a prostate-cancer survivor. “I’m a stay-at-home dad, [but] my kids don’t need me as much now, so I still look for work and do all those things that other actors do.” Last seen on screen in 2018 playing a minion involved in DAYS OF OUR LIVES’ storyline about the ISA forcing John to poison Steve, Christian hopes to do more movies in the vein of his 2017 Lifetime thriller, A Neighbor’s Deception. “I don’t do them often, and most of the ones I do, no one ever sees,” he laughed. “But they’re fun!”

A real romance blossomed between Scott Chandler and Madison after Greenlee Smythe used him to distract her from Ryan.

Stephanie Gatschet
Madison North (2009-’11)
Living in the California sunshine has no doubt inspired Stephanie Gatschet’s interest in a healthy lifestyle. “I’m raising my [4-year-old] daughter, getting my master’s degree in clinical nutrition and living in Coronado [San Diego],” said the actress, who earlier this year appeared as a soap ingenue in the Web series MISGUIDED. In addition to her online studies, she’s also been getting hands-on experience in her new field of interest. “I’ve been working for functional-medicine doctors for the last [several] years,” she explained. “I’ve developed a passion for holistic nutrition — I really see the need for it.”
