Join Anthony Geary on a Tour of His Home in Amsterdam (EXCLUSIVE)

“There is so much life in this city. So many different immigrants from all over the world live and thrive here with so little conflict. People of different cultures are embraced and welcomed in my adopted homeland. There are no walls — literal or figurative — around Amsterdam.” 

If it’s a nice day, chances are Geary climbs aboard his own boat and gives the canals a visit. 

“Blue skies, green trees, clean air... I love it here,” Geary said with a smile. 

With such a large selection of postcards to choose from, Geary picked up a few to send to some friends in the USA.

After years of wanting to make Amsterdam his full-time home, Geary confirmed, “It’s better than I hoped it would be. So many years of time are represented here. You can walk a short distance, and it seems like you’ve gone through three or four centuries.”

Most days, Geary finds somewhere new to visit in Amsterdam, or at least a fun place to return to. High above the city, Geary declared that “Amsterdam is a very fanciful and magical city.” 

“I was up all night painting that damn sign,” Geary said with a smile. 

Usually behind the wheel while boating, Geary explained, "It's like gliding, so peaceful and calm."

The sound of the horses approaching can be heard from blocks away, and “I love it,” said Geary. “The sound is actually very romantic. Every time I hear it, I get flashes of Sherlock Holmes.” Walking the city every day, Geary sees the horses often, “and I’ve become friends with several of them... One of the horses reminds me of Kin Shriner (Scotty),” he added with a laugh. 

Riding through a canal tunnel, the actor explained, “it’s like going in a time tunnel, through another dimension.” 

Geary took a moment to soak in the beauty of Amsterdam. “It’s all about relaxation!” he said.
