GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Matt Cohen Reveals How Griffin Feels About Elizabeth!

Q: What would you like to see happen more with your character?

A: I would love for my character to just start making some consequential mistakes.

Q: What’s the funniest/loveliest thing your son has ever told you?

A: He likes to tell me when he is happy.

Q: Will Griffin finally get some love in his life? We need you in a front burner storyline!

A: I have no idea as of yet. But I sure hope so!

Q: What are Kelly [Monaco, Sam] and Billy [Miller, Jason] like in real life?

A: Generous and beautiful.

Q: If you could be any animal in the world, what would it be?

A: I think I would like to be a dog. Long as I had a good owner!

Q: Who is an actor or actress outside of GH that would fulfill a dream of working with for you?

A: Chloe Grace Moretz.

Q: Stranded on an island, only can bring one person from GH — who would it be and why?

A: I would have to bring Maurice [Benard, Sonny] so I would have somebody to practice my boxing with.

Q: How much fun did you have doing those scenes with Tonja Walker (Olivia)? She’s an amazing actress. Shirtless Griffin is great!

A: I had a lot of fun working with her. She is a tremendous actress.

Q: Are you a strict or fun father? What’s the one top rule you are trying to teach your child?

A: A little of both. I am definitely crazy and fun, but also a rule enforcer.

Q: What do you love most about being on GH?

A: I just really enjoy the challenge of playing the character.

Q: I’ve always wondered, how is working on a soap opera different compared to working on a primetime TV show?

A: It really just comes down to pacing. Soap operas move very quickly.

Q: Do you play any musical instruments?

A: A very small amount of guitar and ukulele.

Q: Hopefully you won’t get attacked for answering, but how would Griffin describe Liz?

A: Kind, caring, and obviously quite gorgeous.

Q: Are there any soap opera tropes you are dying to do? Evil twin? Back from the dead? Multiple personality?

A: Multiple personality would be fun!

Q: Do you ever improvise in scenes or are you a stick-to-the-script guy?

A: No, we always stick to the script.

Q: What is the most difficult part of playing Griffin?

A: Trying to be a priest and a neurosurgeon and have humanity while balancing the two.

Q: Do you have any fun or unexpected hobbies outside of work?

A: Boxing and daddy-ing.

Q: What made you want to audition for the part of Griffin?

A: I really like the fact that he is extremely conflicted. I also like the fact that he is very different from me.

Q: Who is one of your mentors as an actor?

A: [Former SUPERNATURAL co-star] Richard Speight, Jr. has been a mentor to me for years.

Q: Really enjoying the back and forth between Griffin and Finn. What’s it like working with Michael Easton (Finn)?

A: He is an awesome and very kind-hearted man.
