ONE LIFE TO LIVE’s Eddie Alderson Out of the Hospital: “I Finally Get to Go Home!”
Starting the week off right, ONE LIFE TO LIVE star Eddie Alderson (Matthew) has reported that he is out of the hospital again. “After three long weeks,” he tweeted, “I finally get to go home today! #NoSurrender” Despite completing his six-month chemotherapy treatment back in April, the young actor announced just last month that his journey was not yet finished. “I start my stem cell transplant process today,” Alderson shared on Instagram at the time, “and will be spending a few weeks in the hospital. This will not be easy, but no worries — I got this. I have one quote in my mind: ‘Every battle is won before it is fought.’ #WarriorMentality #NoSurrender #BringItOn”

In the photo Alderson shared, you can clearly see the strength and determination in his eyes. “Feeling great,” he added. “Actually shot an 86 on the golf course today, not too bad. One thing is for certain, there is #NoSurrender in me. Never.”
https://www.instagram.com/p/BWdmPwLDQzf/Alderson revealed his cancer diagnosis back in November of 2016 and as he underwent treatment, continued to share updates with his fans to keep them in the loop. And although battles were won, the war is not yet over.
“If you have a loved one,” Alderson urged during his initial treatments, “tell them you love them. If you have a friend, tell them you love them. That is all that matters in life. Trust me.”

Alderson’s former OLTL co-star, Kassie DePaiva (Blair) has also been waging her own battle with cancer and later announced that she is cancer-free and rejoining the cast of DAYS OF OUR LIVES as Eve. She also recently marked her one-year post-treatment milestone.
Please join us in sending Alderson all the love and best wishes in the world so that he can soon join DePaiva in being cancer-free.
