Cameron Mathison’s Amazing Philippines Vacation — See The Pics!

Whenever he can, GENERAL HOSPITAL star Cameron Mathison (Drew) indulges his wanderlust, packing a suitcase and visiting a far-flung corner of the world, like when he and his family visited Greece. To cap off 2022 and ring in 2023, Mathison headed to the tropical beaches of Palawan in the Philippines with his wife, Vanessa, their daughter, Leila, and her friend, Layla. And of course, he shared the best parts of their adventure with his followers on Instagram!

    “Good morning from the Philippines 🇵🇭😃❤️,” the actor wrote on the first morning he woke up on the island. “Many more photos to come👊🏼.”

    “Grateful to be traveling with this crew,” Mathison said of his daughter, Leila, her friend, Layla, and his wife. Apparently, the Mathisons' son, Lucas, was unable to make the trip. “We miss you Lucas, but many more adventures to come❤️.”

    One of the islands that the Mathisons visited was Palawan, where they stayed in the municipality of El Nido, a popular tourist hotspot.

    “We were lucky and got to experience many of the islands by ourselves!” Vanessa shared. “We beat the crowds at all our destinations.”

    Palawan is often called "the most beautiful island in the world" — and we can see why!

    The family also visited Bulog Dos Island in the municipality of Coron on Palawan island. “The beaches are spectacular, but it’s the amazing people that we fell in love with 🇵🇭🙏🏼❤️,” confessed Mathison.

    You can’t get much closer to nature than this!

    Mathison spent much of his vacation living like the ultimate beach bum. “This place is insane,” he enthused in reply to a friend’s comment.

    In addition to endless hours of swimming and kayaking on the crystal turquoise waters of Palawan, Mathison and his family took advantage of the amazing diving spots around the island.

    Vanessa is part Filipino, she revealed. “My grandfather was from [the] Luzon area."

    Vanessa, Cameron, and the girls took advantage of the magical photo opp created by the limestone-covered rocks.

    “What a way to bring in 2023🇵🇭🎇🙏🏼,” Mathison shared. “My goal is to run out of pages in my passport🇵🇭.”
