March 10 was a very special night for GENERAL HOSPITAL alum Briana Henry (ex-Jordan) because that was the night that her husband, Kris Bowers, took home the Academy Award for Best Documentary Short Film at the 99th Academy Awards!

“To my best friend, I’m so proud of you,” Henry shared on Instagram. “You are truly such a generous artist, creative partner, husband, and father. There is no one else I’d rather make art, babies, or a meaningful life with.”

The GH grad was also an executive producer on The Last Repair Shop, the film directed by Bowers and Ben Proudfoot. It tells the story of four craftspeople who work at a warehouse in Los Angeles fixing musical instruments for public school students at no cost to them as well as some of the students who have been affected by their generosity.

“What an honor it has been to play a part in this film that casts an enormous, moving, honest love spell on the world,” Henry declared. “That illuminates the idea that if you do your job with love and intention and wholeheartedly that you could be touching a life that you could never imagine needed to be touched.”
