GH’s Lexi Ainsworth Visits Italy’s Amalfi Coast — See the Stunning Pics!

Fans who follow GENERAL HOSPITAL alum Lexi Ainsworth (ex-Kristina) know that the actress is consumed by wanderlust! Over the past two years alone, she’s shared personal photos from her travels to Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, Austria, Germany, France, Turkey, and Italy. Currently, the actress is back in Italy — but this time, she’s on the gorgeous Amalfi Coast!

The seaside resort is one of Italy’s most scenic regions, with 13 charming villages dotting the cliffs along the 34-mile stretch of coastline of the Sorrento Peninsula. Known for its picturesque towns, amazing beaches, and jaw-dropping views, the Amalfi Coast has a deep history as one of Italy’s first maritime republics. During her vacation, Ainsworth spent her days swimming, indulging in delicious meals, and even attending a friend’s wedding! “Wish this could be my full-time job,” she joked.

    Traveling is “my favorite thing in life,” confessed Ainsworth, who spent much of the last year visiting various cities and countries across Europe.

    Al fresco dining doesn’t get much better than this! “The food is amazing!" she enthused. "Been eating a lot of fresh fish.”

    The iconic Strada Statale 163, also known as the Amalfi Coast Road, offers some of the most stunning water views in the world. It is also one of the most dangerous drives in the world, due to its zigzag turns and narrow roadway as it winds along the cliffs!

    “So much history,” Ainsworth said of the seaside resort, which dates back as far as 596.

    This breathtaking sunset looks like a painting. “I couldn’t get over how bright it was!” she confessed.

    Ainsworth spent at least part of her trip attending the wedding of her friend, electronic musical artist Biianco. “We’ve known each other for 10 years,” the actress confided.

    “That’s amore,” is how Ainsworth captioned a gallery of photos from Biianco and Olly's seaside nuptials.

    The ancient Church of San Gennaro, a baroque cathedral that dates back to the 15th century, sits in the center of Praiano, one of the small towns perched on the cliffs of the Amalfi Coast. “It wasn’t open!” Ainsworth lamented. “I wonder what it looks like on the inside.”

    Ainsworth spent her days boating around the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Gulf of Salerno and swimming in the crystal blue waters. “And cliff jumping,” she added.
