Laura Wright and Wes Ramsey Share Their “Amazing” Vacation Photos!

With a few days off from GENERAL HOSPITAL, real-life lovebirds Laura Wright (Carly) and Wes Ramsey (Peter) took advantage of their free time and planned an incredible vacation. But rather than book a trip to some far-flung tropical destination, the GH stars packed their bags and left Los Angeles for the East Coast.

More precisely, Wright and Ramsey headed to Maryland to visit the actress’ family and childhood friends. While they were there, the actors took a trip to nearby Washington, D.C., to soak in some of the historic sights in our nation’s capital. “Thank you, D.C., for an amazing trip!” Wright shared on Instagram, sharing some highlights from her vacation with her favorite travel buddy.

    Part of the Smithsonian Institution complex, the National Museum of African American History and Culture is one of the many educational treasures along the National Mall. “Incredible day,” Wright shared on Instagram, noting in her hashtags that their visit to the museum was powerful, sobering, and educational.

    The actors’ trip East included a visit with some of the friends Wright grew up with in Maryland’s Prince George’s County. “My besties for life!” shared the actress. “Oh, what an amazing visit! I love you guys so much!”

    Wright filled her cup by soaking in good times with some of her favorite people, like her sister Pam.

    Ramsey — who was born and raised in Kentucky — was introduced to a dish popular among the locals in the Chesapeake Bay area: Old Bay Steamed Blue Crabs. “Wes was a natural!” Wright raved of her beau’s first time eating the popular (albeit messy!) seafood feast.

    After climbing the 57 steps up to the statue of Abraham Lincoln at the national memorial honoring the 16th president of the United States, Ramsey and Wright marked their visit with the obligatory selfie.

    Standing on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, the couple posed for another selfie with the Reflecting Pool and Washington Monument behind them.

    With its beautiful fountain, bronze statues, and stunning architecture, The World War II Memorial is another incredible National Mall monument.

    Much closer now! At the opposite end of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, the marble Washington Monument towers over the city of Washington, D.C., at 555 feet tall!
