Alderson Explains Her GH Exit
Fans were surprised when Kristen Alderson (Kiki) revealed that she would not be renewing her contract with GENERAL HOSPITAL, and now the actress has finally revealed her reasons for leaving the soap. Instead of trying to express her thoughts in 140 characters at a time on Twitter, Alderson instead recorded a video and posted it to YouTube where she can personally explain herself.
“This decision is purely spur of the moment,”she says. “Kind of an epiphany that I had that I’ve been in this amazing little soap bubble since I was 6 years old. And now I’m 23. I’ve never done anything else. I’ve never pushed myself. I’ve never challenged myself to do other things.”
The daytime vet isn’t just talking about acting, either. She’s talking about taking classes, getting back into singing, and anything else that might come her way. You can watch her entire video below, and then share your thoughts in the comments!
