Gaskill’s Bloody Fun Film!

Tags:

Soap opera veteran Brian Gaskill is no stranger to the world of vampires. As angel Rafe on PORT CHARLES, he battled a whole host of them! Now, he’s stepping back into that realm in The Bloody Indulgent, a sexy vampire musical that’s being released for rent this week on VIMEO and cityoffilm.tv before going to wider release.

“I play a quirky club owner/MC at a B-rated strip club,” Gaskill reveals of the role that will pit him against former Backstreet Boys member Kevin Richardson as a randy (and not-so-sober!) vampire. “I’m surrounded by vampires and zombies.” Not only does the actor play a pivotal role in the story, but he also gets to sing! “I’m a huge fan of not only musicals, but also cult musicals such as The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” Gaskill explains of his interest in the project. “So it was a dream come true for me to be part of such a wild film — it definitely falls into the realm of the cult classics.”

The colorful film, which also features Diva Zappa and Danièle Watts (Django Unchained), is described as “a grungy morality tale that reveals the humanity of monsters and the inhumanity of mankind.”

“Kevin Richardson was awesome to work with and Ken Roht, the director and writer, is a bit of an underground theater genius, so it was an amazing experience all around,” Gaskill enthuses. “I am so excited that it’s finally able to be seen, and it’s perfect timing — just in time for Halloween!”
