An old character is getting a new look as Amanda Setton joins the cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL as Brook Lynn Ashton! Ned and Lois’ daughter is scheduled to return in the episode airing on Monday, Nov. 18, according to our friends at TV Line. “She is so lovely and a dream to work with,” enthused Lisa LoCicero (Olivia) on Twitter. “Good choice!” Wally Kurth (Ned) tweeted: “So pleased to be working with Amanda. Ned missed his Brook Lynn.”

Fans of the ABC Daytime lineup will recognize Setton as she played the scheming Kimberly Andrews on ONE LIFE TO LIVE from 2009-11. In primetime, the actress portrayed Penelope Shafai on GOSSIP GIRL, Shauna Dicanio on the FOX sitcom THE MINDY PROJECT, and Dr. Mindy Shaw on HAWAII FIVE-0.

The character of Brook Lynn first appeared back in 1996 and was played by Brooke Radding until 2001. In 2004, Adrianne León took over the role and played Brook Lynn until 2006, returning again in 2010. The character was last seen in 2011 when she left Port Charles to go on tour with a band, though she has been mentioned once or twice.
