Who Kidnapped Anna on GENERAL HOSPITAL? — Meet Owen Saxon
When Owen Saxon was cast on GENERAL HOSPITAL, some fans assumed the hunky actor was going to be the Dante recast (and some websites even reported the news as such!), but the truth is, he’s definitely on the other side of the law! Fans clearly didn’t recognize him from his blink-and-you’ll-miss-him appearance in the June 25 episode of GH where he was the gun toting limo driver who drove Anna off to her fate (which was decidedly not to the airport to go visit Robin!). But then he returned for another appearance on Aug. 3 as the thug who slipped into the elevator with Finn and abducted him! “Keep an eye out for a familiar face on this month’s episodes of GH,” Saxon shared on Instagram. “Special shoutout to my amazing agent, Britney Stone at LoveStone Agency.”
Saxon indicates that he’ll be appearing in more episodes throughout August, which means he’ll play a role in Finn’s big summer storyline that Michael Easton teased was coming up. And while he’s obviously the muscle and not the brains behind the operation (that would be Leif Gantvoort playing the lead bad guy), Saxon could prove to be a major obstacle to Finn and Robert rescuing Anna and bringing her home safe and sound.
According to his IMDb biography, Saxon originally intended to become a literary agent, but couldn’t resist the draw of acting. He has appeared in films like Toxic Shark and A Christmas Cruise, as well as television series like LETHAL WEAPON and SHOOTER. Unfortunately, as a bad guy, his run on GH likely won’t be very long, but he’ll be an imposing presence while he’s there!
