Bryan Craig Still Hopeful for GRAND HOTEL’s Renewal

Tags:

With the season finale of GRAND HOTEL airing on Monday, Sept. 9, one of the primetime soap’s stars, Bryan Craig (ex-Morgan, GENERAL HOSPITAL), is hoping that it isn’t the series finale. “Well, a big cheers to our season finale next Monday,” the actor shared on Instagram. “I’m very sure you all will be extremely pleased with this last episode, and if you’re not caught up, now is your chance. You can catch the rest of the season at either Hulu or Amazon Prime Video. I wish I had more news about a season two, but the future for now is unknown.

“But!” he quickly added. “I do know you all play a massive role in what happens, so hashtag #GrandHotelSeason2 [on social media] and thank you all for the continued support and love.”

GRAND HOTEL premiered on ABC back in June, and at the beginning of August, Deadline was reporting that with the show’s soft ratings, ABC President of Entertainment Karey Burke was going to hold off until the end of the season before deciding yea or nay on a renewal. “We’re going to wait until the end of its run,” she said. “It’s a show we like a lot. It’s a show that I wish the ratings were a bit stronger but we’ll make that decision after its run.”

At the time, Craig declared that his new show’s fate “is in the hands of the fans.” He has been very vocal about promoting GRAND HOTEL on social media, previewing new episodes on his Instagram and tweeting about it constantly. We’ll keep you up to date on renewal news as it happens, so stay tuned. And for more on your favorite GH stars — past and present — keep reading the ABC edition of Soaps In Depth magazine.
