General Hospital's Chloe Lanier Teases Nelle "Isn't Done Yet"

As Nelle Benson’s time on GENERAL HOSPITAL came to an end, Chloe Lanier live-tweeted along with her final episode of the soap to answer questions from fans one last time. Although she did tease that this might not be the last Port Charles sees of the vicious schemer! “I love this character,” she declared. “She isn’t done yet. Nelle isn’t dead. She isn’t done.”

When she first began playing Nelle, Lanier admitted “I knew she was troubled, but not to this extent.” But she does insist that Nelle’s feelings for Michael were genuine… to a point. “She spent months fighting to get back with him,” the actress explained. “She loved him until he showed his true colors. That stung.”

Lanier also confessed that the most difficult storyline she had to do on GH was her exit. “It was incredibly emotionally and physically demanding, but I loved it,” she said. The actress also added that the easiest scenes she had to do on the soap were last summer. “When Michael and Nelle just hooked up constantly!” she laughed.

Although she’s had trouble in the past with some fans unable to separate reality and fiction, blasting Lanier for Nelle’s actions, the actress shared a heartfelt message to her genuine supporters as she departed. “I love and appreciate them deeply,” she expressed. “It’s been an honor playing this character and I have loved hearing from you all. Thank you for the support! I wouldn’t be where I am without you all. I hope you all come with me on my next journey.”
