Kin Shriner Explains Why Scotty Is Using a Scooter on GENERAL HOSPITAL

Tags:

Viewers were surprised to see Scotty using a knee scooter in the June 25 episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL and immediately wondered what happened to Kin Shriner! Well, followers of his Twitter account will already have seen him sharing a handful of pictures of himself using the scooter in real life and when a fan asked if he injured himself, he responded: “Yes, Christine. It was a boating accident.”

Eagle-eyed readers might have even spotted the brace Shriner was wearing in the photos he and his fellow GH vets shared when they enjoyed a reunion lunch with Stuart Damon (ex-Alan), but there was definitely no missing the brace and scooter when Scotty appeared on screen. “Had four-hour foot surgery two weeks prior,” Shriner updated after the episode aired. “But the show must go on at GH!”

Shriner hasn’t revealed just how long the recovery process will be, but he is still currently using the scooter in real life, so since GH tapes about a month ahead, you can expect to see Scotty using it as well for any appearances he might make in the next month or so. Please join us in wishing Shriner a very speedy recovery.
