Listen to “Side by Side” From Liz and Franco’s Wedding Reception on GENERAL HOSPITAL
It’s always a treat when Cameron Webber sings on GENERAL HOSPITAL, and in the July 8 episode, the teen performed a very special tune at his mother’s wedding reception. “Side by Side” had the audience in tears as Cam sang with backup from his younger brothers, Aiden and Jake. “‘Side by Side’ is a song reflecting values of togetherness [and] closeness, as well as explains the importance of unity during the rollercoaster of life,” William Lipton (Cameron) explained on the SoundCloud page for the song. “This song was created for the purpose to celebrate Franco and Elizabeth’s union on ABC’s GH.”
With a chorus that goes: “Hold my hand and together we’ll stand, side by side. Nobody on this Earth can tear us apart, side by side,” the lyrics about overcoming adversity to find happiness together are incredibly appropriate for the emotional turmoil that Liz and Franco went through on their journey to each other. It makes sense that Cameron would pen this song for his mother and her new husband.
“Thank you so much, GH, for the inspiration,” the talented young performer Tweeted after the episode aired. “Here is a SoundCloud link. You can also find it on Apple Music and Spotify.” So go right ahead and click any of those links to listen to the lovely song as many times as your heart desires, and support Lipton’s musical career by buying it to download from iTunes!
Lipton has already talked about using his talents to give back to the community, and wowed audiences with his beautiful performance of his other original song, “North Star,” at the 2019 GH Nurses Ball.
