Michael Easton Opens up About Working With Finola Hughes on GENERAL HOSPITAL (EXCLUSIVE)
When GENERAL HOSPITAL tossed Finn and Anna together, fans were taken by surprise when their unlikely partnership blossomed into an actual romance. But actor Michael Easton was thrilled and quickly adjusted to the pairing. “For years, when people asked me who I wanted to work with, my stock answer was always Finola Hughes’ Anna,” he confided to Soaps In Depth. “I don’t think the writers were listening to me. I think it was sort of arbitrary. With some pairings, they throw it out there to see how it works. And on some level, this worked. It’s certainly an eclectic pairing, but Finn makes Anna laugh a bit, and he’s charmed by her.”
Sure, there still are some GH fans out there who insist that Anna belongs with Robert or Finn belongs with Hayden, but others have come to enjoy the unlikely new couple as much as the actors involved. And Easton is having the time of his life now that his dream of sharing scenes with Hughes has finally become a reality!
“Finola is as advertised,” he raved. She makes everything she does better — just by her presence and what she does. She’s incredibly committed. I don’t think I’ve worked with anyone on the show that’s as committed to making everything the best it can be as she is. She’s almost like a perfectionist. She comes in in the morning completely prepared and yet she’s still in the moment. I love her spontaneity and her creativity as an actor. It’s been good fun.”
