Fans can look forward to seeing two GENERAL HOSPITAL alums in an inspirational new movie when Full Count premieres in theaters and VOD/digital platforms on Friday, Oct. 25. Natalia Livingston (ex-Emily) stars in the film as Katherine, the mother of a young man whose dreams of playing professional baseball one day are shattered by a series of unfortunate events. “I would say that my character is sort of the heart of the family,” she told Soaps In Depth. “She helps to guide [her son] Milton throughout the movie and she’s a steadfast, kind, gentle presence for him. She’s a farm wife and just… a good soul. She keeps encouraging him to have faith that everything’s gonna work out.”
The movie, written and directed by Robert Eagar, also reunites Livingston with former GH castmate and friend Rick Hearst (ex-Ric). “He plays a cop, and there was one scene that I got to be in and it was Rick and my son, Milton, and I,” she previewed, not wanting to spoil storyline details. “It was definitely very different from our time on GH!
“I actually recommended Rick for the part,” Livingston added. “A good friend of mine from L.A. had actually recommended me for the part and then I auditioned and got the part, and when I did, I knew that they were casting the part that Rick eventually got and I recommended him to the producers. And then Rick auditioned and got the part, so I was thrilled when he booked it. It was so much fun getting to work with Rick again. We had a blast.”
The proud mother of daughter Collette, who turned one on Sept. 6, Livingston was excited to star in a movie like this, something quite different than the scandalous twists and turns of a daytime soap like GH. “I’ve been dreaming of doing a project like this for as long as I can remember,” she enthused. “For years. Pretty much when I started acting, I always wanted to do a project like this, in the faith-based genre, I guess you could say. But just a project with an inspirational message. So I was thrilled when I got the call to do Full Count. I was just absolutely thrilled. It was a dream come true for me, and I hope it’s the first of many.”
