Since leaving GENERAL HOSPITAL, Nathan Dean Parsons (ex-Ethan) has seen his career on the rise. Parsons has been a cast member in TRUE BLOOD, THE ORIGINALS and ROSWELL, NEW MEXICO, and now has joined the cast of the upcoming Jeremy Camp biopic, I Still Believe. Fellow cast members include fellow GH alum Nicolas Bechtel (ex-Spencer), Gary Sinise (Forrest Gump, Apollo 13), singer and actress Shania Twain (A Dog’s Journey) and KJ Apa (RIVERDALE). Camp is a successful faith-based musician, who has over 32 number one hits on the Christian charts. The movie centers around Camp’s adult life, his musical career and marriage to fellow musician Melissa Henning. Bechtel has been tweeting his excitement over the role, and recently shared a photo of him and fellow cast-mate Apa in a van somewhere on location.
Parsons will be playing Jean-Luc La Joie, the lead singer of The Kry, one of Christian rock’s biggest bands and a close friend of Camp and his wife. Apa has been cast in the title role and Britt Robertson (GIRL BOSS, FOR THE PEOPLE) portrays Melissa, his wife. Sinise and Twain play Camp’s parents, and rounding out the cast is Melissa Roxburgh (MANIFEST) as Melissa’s sister, Heather, and Tanya Christiansen (INSATIABLE) as Melissa and Heather’s mother. The movie has already begun filming, and Camp just released one of the completed scenes as a teaser for his fans.
I Still Believe is currently in production and recently shot scenes on location in Florida and Alabama. The movie is directed by the Erwin Brothers, John and Andrew, who have previously directed the faith-based films I Can Only Imagine and Woodlawn. The movie, which will be released by Lionsgate, is slated for release nationwide on March 20, 2020.
