Wes Ramsey and Kirsten Storms Preview Big Trouble Ahead for Peter and Maxie on GH (EXCLUSIVE)

Tags:

After a lonely, dark life as Faison’s scheming son, Severed Branch author Peter August has written a whole new chapter in Port Charles with Maxie on GENERAL HOSPITAL. “He’s found love and acceptance and a sense of community for the first time in his life,” portrayer Wes Ramsey noted to Soaps In Depth. “It’s everything he ever wanted but never thought he’d have. At moments, to Peter, it might feel too good to be true… and maybe it is too good to be true!”

Maxie, however, doesn’t share Peter’s doubts. “She is constantly reminding Peter what a good man he is and that his past doesn’t matter now,” said Kirsten Storms of her alter ego. “He’s complex, and so is Maxie — and I think that’s something she’s drawn to. She sees him as a troubled soul, but she also sees a good person underneath all that. It was in her efforts to help him understand what a good person he is that she started to fall in love with him.”

Maxie was even able to get past Peter’s part in Nathan’s death, along with his initial dishonesty about who he was. The problem is, Peter still hasn’t been entirely truthful about his past. Though he confessed to a lot after being exposed as Henrik Faison, he completely downplayed his part in kidnapping Drew and turning him into Jason all those years ago… and now, Shiloh is holding that over his head!

“This could be Pandora’s box for Peter,” sighed Ramsey. “There are so many unanswered questions, mysterious secrets and things that have never been known. Faison may be gone, but that doesn’t mean Peter’s entire past was buried with him. And I’m not saying that he’s like his father… but genetically, his father is in him, whether he likes it or not. And he was co-raised by a Cassadine!”

How Peter chooses to handle this situation with Shiloh could be a game-changer, but one thing’s for certain: Maxie will remain his top priority… which could, of course, mean trouble! “Peter still has a dark, dangerous protective side to him,” warned Ramsey. “When tested and pushed in the right way — or the wrong way! — will that side come to the surface?”
