Get ready to see GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Ryan Paevey (ex-Nathan) in another romantic movie as the actor co-stars with THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS and THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL actress Kelly Kruger in the upcoming film BFF Bride! They’re currently filming up in Toronto, where Kruger joked on Instagram that one of the benefits of shooting in Canada was the snacks! “Great first day,” she posted. “Just ate a bag of ketchup chips and going to pass out.”
Unfortunately, as BFF Bride is still early in production, there’s no information yet as to when or where you’ll be able to tune in to see the romantic comedy. Heck, there’s not even a plot synopsis available at this time! There is a novel with the same title, but apparently the two are unrelated. However, from some behind the scenes footage of a photo shoot featuring Paevey and Kruger, it looks like they’re going to be the bride and groom. Perhaps he’s originally engaged to one woman and then falls for her BFF, played by Kruger?

Kruger, who has played Eva on B&B and recently returned to her role of Mac on Y&R, will be playing Kimberly Kentwood. And Paevey is playing Ted Cooper in the film from writer Patrick McBrearty (Christmas Catch) and director Andrew Cymek (Country Crush). The cast also includes THE STRAIN’s Jocelyn Hudon and THE MILLIONAIRE MATCHMAKER herself, Melissa Strong.
Kruger shared a brief video clip of the cast bopping along to the music in a van as they traveled to the location where they would be filming some paintball scenes for the film and joked: “We’re having no fun at all here.” And is that Paevey declaring how excited he is for this adventure?
After the day of shooting (both film and paintballs!), Paevey shared his own on-set pic of himself with Kruger and Hudon all dressed up and outfitted for battle. “Obviously it was a rough day at work,” the GH fan favorite teased. Yes, it looks like absolutely no fun was had that day!
At this time, there is no information regarding BFF Bride’s release aside from a tentative February 2019 date which would put it in line for a Valentine’s Day timeslot. Although since Paevey has been making romantic films for the Hallmark Channel, including Harvest Love and most recently, Marrying Mr. Darcy, it’s entirely possible this could be his next one. Obviously, we’ll keep you in the loop as more information on BFF Bride is announced, especially where and when you can watch!
