This year, GENERAL HOSPITAL actress Sonya Eddy has dropped 60 pounds already, and she told Soaps In Depth that her method is simple… but not easy! “I’m watching what I eat and actually getting off my butt and moving,” she shared. “I hate the gym with a passion, but I try to ride my bike every other day. I put my four little dogs in the basket and go!”
It sounds like just wrangling four little dogs at once would be pretty good exercise by itself! But she also revealed that she’s changed other behaviors in her life that have helped her shed the pounds. “I don’t come home from grocery shopping and let everything sit there for an hour anymore,” Eddy declared. “Now I put everything away, right away. When I’m running between the refrigerator, the garage, and all, it does something to my metabolism — and then I’m not grazing! I’m just always going now. We’re talking about an attitude and behavior change. I fail on a daily basis, but I try hard to stick it out.”
Despite any setbacks she may encounter, Eddy is determined to make this lifestyle change last. And she also admitted that cutting out carbs and eating lots of protein and salads in order to lose weight isn’t about vanity — it’s about her health. “I’ve always thought I was cute any damn way,” Eddy laughed. “But I remember how horrible I felt [physically] last year. I don’t want to feel like that anymore!”
