Inside ‘Dark Shadows and Beyond: The Jonathan Frid Story’

Fans of the cult classic soap DARK SHADOWS will not want to miss a very special look at Dark Shadows and Beyond: The Jonathan Frid Story on Thursday, Sept. 30, at 3 p.m. ET in The Locher Room!

The feature-length documentary tells the story of Canadian-born actor Jonathan Frid, who rocketed to fame with his portrayal of vampire Barnabas Collins on DARK SHADOWS from 1966-71. The details of Frid’s life are revealed in part through his own written correspondence which is read by actor Ian Buchanan (ex-Duke, GENERAL HOSPITAL). The Jonathan Frid Story will be available on Blu-ray, DVD, and digitally on Tuesday, Oct. 5.

Joining host Alan Locher to discuss the film is its writer/director, Mary O’Leary. She is also an Emmy-winning producer who has worked on daytime soaps like THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, GENERAL HOSPITAL, ONE LIFE TO LIVE, ANOTHER WORLD, and GUIDING LIGHT. Also joining in the conversation will be DARK SHADOWS actress Marie Wallace, who played Jenny Collins on the soap.
