Is Leo Returning For Greenlee?

Tags:

The news that Josh Duhamel will make an appearance on ALL MY CHILDREN as Leo before the soap signs off on September 23 is a bittersweet announcement for many of the show’s fans… including those on the Soaps In Depth staff! The character allegedly died when Leo went over a waterfall in October 2002 trying to save his wife, Rebecca Budig‘s Greenlee, from his mother, Vanessa. But since his body was never found, die-hard Leo and Greenlee fans have been hopeful that one day their favorite couple would be reunited.

During his AMC stint, the Transformers star was nominated for a Daytime Emmy four times, taking home the Outstanding Supporting Actor award in 2002. Even after he left Pine Valley, Duhamel was vocal about his daytime roots, crediting AMC for his big break. “Everyone at AMC is thrilled and excited to welcome Josh back to Pine Valley,” says executive producer Julie Hanan Carruthers. “The appearance of Leo is sure to be one of the highlights of the season.”

But how, exactly, will Leo tie into storyline when Duhamel makes his brief appearance — likely to be only an episode or two — in August? One theory is that after all these years, a very alive Leo will return to Pine Valley to take his soulmate back to Paris, where they were planning to move before Greens was kidnapped by her evil mother-in-law. (Sorry, Rylee fans!) While that is the plot twist that most fans (ourselves included!) are hoping for, In Depth hears that Duhamel’s appearance may be as a ghost or in a dream sequence.

Tell us below how you want to see Duhamel’s return play out!
