Maurice Has A Date With The East!

We know that GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Maurice Benard (Sonny) love his fans. But did you know that, for the second summer in a row, the actor has loaded up his family into an RV and is driving from their California home, across the country, to the East Coast just so the Emmy winner can meet and greet his fans in the Tri-State area? Yep, the actor has a handful of public appearances scheduled for next weekend in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey, and he can’t wait to see you there!

“I have the greatest time at these events,” the actor told Soaps In Depth when we caught up with him in the midst of his road trip. “I’m more relaxed now than when I was younger, and I love the connection that I get with the people at these appearances. The fans open up, and so do I. I’m pretty honest at these things. I laugh, I cry sometimes… because you get into it. The fans are great.”

Not only does Benard promise his fans a great time at the shows, but some lucky folks may even find themselves in a future issue of In Depth standing next to the dimpled star! “We’re going to have one person from each show get their picture taken to be in the magazine,” he explains. “Soaps In Depth is like family! I’ve never done that. I think it’s going to be fun, something different.”
