New Details On ABC’s Prospect Park Deal!

As ALL MY CHILDREN prepares to wrap production next month, it doesn’t seem that Prospect Park is quite ready to pick up where the beloved soap ends with their retooled Internet version of the series, despite reports that they’d start airing AMC just three days after its final network broadcast on Friday, September 23. An insider tells Soaps In Depth that the company still hasn’t reached out to the AMC actors to negotiate new contracts. However, on the bright side, our mole adds, executive producer Julie Hanan Carruthers and headwriter Lorraine Broderick have both lined up deals to continue on with the soap’s move to Prospect Park.

And remember how ABC’s press release said that Prospect Park would continue to broadcast AMC and ONE LIFE TO LIVE in their same length, but made no mention of how often the shows would air? Our spy reports that the latest scuttlebutt is that AMC may become a seasonal series — not a daily one — thus opening up the door for the cast to pursue other projects.
