Soap Alums on DANCING WITH THE STARS Week Seven Recap

Tags:

With Chrishell Stause (ex-Jordan, DAYS OF OUR LIVES; Amanda, ALL MY CHILDREN) the only soap alum left in this season of DANCING WITH THE STARS, it’s up to her to keep representing daytime! Now that Anne Heche (Vicky/Marley, ANOTHER WORLD) and Jesse Metcalfe (Miguel, PASSIONS) have been eliminated from the competition, Stause has to keep bringing the fire or else she’ll join them and the other former contestants. But how did she do in week seven?

Stause and professional dance partner Gleb Savchenko performed the second of four paso dobles in this round. With Halloween just around the corner, it was “Villains Week,” so the actress was dressed as Disney villain Maleficent to dance to “In the Air Tonight” by VonLichten ft. Jessica Carvo. She also noted in her clip package that she has some experience playing evil from her Daytime Emmy-nominated turn as psycho Jordan on DAYS! The judges thought Stause was in her element and despite a few off-balance moments, her simple moves were executed beautifully so they gave her two nines and an eight for a total of 26 out of 30 points.

Stause’s 26 points tied her with Justina Machado and AJ McLean to land safely in the middle of the pack this week. The bottom two stars were Jeanne Mai and Monica Aldama, and when two of the three judges voted to save Mai, it was cheerleading coach Aldama who was sent home this round.

Make sure you tune in next week and vote because Stause and the other stars will each be performing two routines and there will be a double elimination! Yikes!
