Soap Alums on DANCING WITH THE STARS Week Three Recap

Tags:

ANOTHER WORLD alum Anne Heche (Vicky/Marley) found herself in danger of going home in this week’s episode of DANCING WITH THE STARS, but she survived another week as Carole Baskin was eliminated this round. This episode’s theme was Disney, and the other two soap alums acquitted themselves well, with PASSIONS’ Jesse Metcalfe (Miguel) hanging in there and Chrishell Stause (ex-Jordan, DAYS OF OUR LIVES; Amanda, ALL MY CHILDREN) improving week to week. Let’s take a look at this round!

Anne Heche

The former soap star performed a quick step to “Zero to Hero” from Hercules with partner Keo Motsepe, but the judges were unimpressed with their partnering. Derek Hough even suggested that Heche rehearse the routine solo so she doesn’t rely so much on Motsepe when they are together. Her scores were a trio of fives giving her a total of only 15 out of 30.

Jesse Metcalfe

In his intro, the actor mentioned getting his big break on PASSIONS, then danced a jive with Sharna Burgess to “King of New York” from Newsies. The judges were concerned about his musicality and getting ahead of the music, but enjoyed his footwork and awarded him two sevens and a six for a total of 20 out of 30.

Chrishell Stause

Stause also mentioned her daytime history, getting her start on AMC, but worried she would be too clumsy for this waltz with Gleb Savchenko to “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes” from Cinderella. She needn’t have worried, though, because the judges were absolutely charmed by her performance and awarded her two sevens and an eight for a total of 22 out of 30!

Stause continues to improve week after week following her rather disastrous first-round performance, and Metcalfe continues to impress the judges, but Heche could be in danger of being the first of the trio of soap alums competing this year to be sent packing. Don’t miss the next episode to find out what happens!
